Gucci’s Artisan Corner

We’ve been talking about the Heritage trend in Fashion Snoops’ Lifestyle section for a while, with companies going back to their roots and creating a message that is both true to their brand and resonates with customers. More recently, during Milan Fashion Week, there was a lot of talk about deeply rooted heritage messages..

And now behold Gucci’s Artisan Corner. Traveling to a Gucci store near you, the luxury house has set up day-long workshops where they’re actually assembling Gucci’s most iconic handbags. The idea is to emphasize the intense process of crafting handbags, which ultimately ties into Gucci’s heritage of doing exactly that since 1921. The concept also works nicely back to the company’s current heritage ad campaign. See for yourself at Gucci boutiques in San Francisco, Beverly Hills, Chicago and New York, going on now through April 29th.
