Unsure? GoTryItOn

Last week I wrote about an iPhone app called Ask a Stylist, whereby you’re able to connect to a Glamour magazine stylist and ask fashion advice. Today’s topic is website GoTryItOn, where you’re able to post a photo of an outfit/item you’re unsure and get votes to “Wear It” or “Change It”. It kind of reminds me of that old school Hot or Not website where strangers rate you.

I’ve got to say I like this. Even better than Ask a Stylist. Why? Because it gets a wider variety of multiple opinions. The people logging onto GoTryItOn may not be Glamour stylists, but what are the odds that you’re going to run into a Glamour stylist on your night out anyway? It’s more REAL. I mean if you’re logging onto GoTryItOn, you have to have some fashion perspective to begin with. It’s almost like walking into a bar and getting votes for your outfit, which is much more real to me than one certified stylist behind an iPhone.
