Closing out couture fashion week last week, Valentino unveiled his much anticipated and long-rumored museum. The Valentino Garavani Archives are housed in the couturier’s 17th century Louis VIII chateau, the Domaine du Wildville, located just outside of Paris. Of course the occasion was marked with a grande fête with dinner guests ranging from Anna Wintour to Marc Jacobs and Blake Lively. The exhibit features over 10,000 sketches and iPads that display imagery from magazine editorials over the past 40 years. The Valentino Garavani Archives are said to cater to fashion students and will be available to the public by appointment only in September. Now that’s something to look forward to after summer holidays!
