Burberry’s Not-So-Heritage Biker

Christopher Bailey took inspiration from original 1900s biker attire designed by Thomas Burberry himself. Fair enough. The execution was full-on sexy biker babe, which will certainly speak to a young customer, but perhaps stray a tad too far for Burburry’s more traditional customers. What to take away from it? Leather leggings, moto pants and jackets, cropped jackets and various updates to the classic trench – such as metal studs, short silhouettes, metallic skins or moto padding/quilting. Will the biker jacket continue? You bet, in all its cropped, elongated or moto glory.
